Environmental Orientation

It goes without saying that we comply with all laws to protect our environ-ment and our health. Many of our measures and concepts go far beyond the legally stipulated scope. Protecting our environment, promoting sus-
tainable processes and advocating the conservation of resources are among the most important concerns for our customers, their customers and our com-
pany. The measures used in our company include, among others, avoiding environmentally
harmful substances, recycling process waste to the greatest extent possible and using
suitable technical measures to prevent toxins. In order to achieve a carbon footprint value
that is as favourable as possible, we have invested in heat recovery, are planning to use
solar energy and are designing our production sites to be as energy efficient as possible.

Our plants in Melle, Düren and Stuttgart have been certified according to the criteria of the
FSC^® (Forest Stewardship Council^®) and PEFC™ (the Programme for the Endorsement of
Forest Certification™). 

We follow the code of conduct of the Business Social Compliance Initiative; suppliers abroad
are obligated to ensure socially acceptable production conditions. Our guideline in corporate responsibility is to be clearly ahead of the requirements at all times.
