Certification
Folding cartons must meet high standards. This is particularly the case for folding cartons for food packaging. For this reason, Chesapeake plants perform comprehensive quality and hygiene management. For companies that deliver sensitive products, hygiene management goes without saying.
We thus ensure maximum cleanliness in production and work according to HACCP guidelines; a certification confirms adherence to these standards. Furthermore, all Chesapeake Branded Packaging plants are certified in accordance with the hygiene management standard BRC/IoP. Companies that use this system combine HACCP with a functioning quality management system – Chesapeake is certified in accordance with DIN EN 9001:2008 – and the application of Good Manufacturing Practice guidelines in production processes and production environments.
However, it is not every day that a company becomes one of the first in the industry to implement nearly all certification options. Chesapeake, for example, was the first packaging printer to be certified by the Print and Media Association (Verband Druck und Medien) according to the new offset printing process standard ISO 12647-2. The test seal confirms, among other things, independently documented quality assurance from the receipt of data to the final print, the same exact quality standards at all locations and consistent process optimisation.
